8 1/2 Months!

Happy Valentines Day! I hope everyone had a great time spending the day with those they love. Steve and I had such a great day. We painted pottery this afternoon and we'll pick up our masterpieces in about a week :) I made something to hang on the baby's wall and Steve made a beer stein...let's hope they turn out ok! We then went to lunch and after that headed home and took a nice nap!! I feel like I haven't just turned off my mind in a long time, so it's really been a great day.

Now on to baby news. I had an eventful week with Dr. appointments. I had my 32 week check up on Tuesday and everything is going great. I am measuring perfect and baby is very very healthy. We then got our 3rd and final 3D ultrasound on Thursday. It was so great to see her again...and Yes she is still a girl. Of course I made them check one last time! :) Her heart rate is very good and she still has plenty of fluid to float around in. So that means she'll be in there a little while longer. Which is good news...although I wouldn't be against her coming in about 3 or 4 weeks when I'm considered full term! But that is up to her. Friday later in the afternoon I started having some pretty consistent contractions and around 9:30pm, after counting them and contemplating going in, Steve and I went in to the hospital to make sure I wasn't in pre-term labor. Luckily everything was great.....but I did have about 5 contractions in the hour we were there. They told me baby is not coming, but I need to take it easy and stay off my feet more now. Easier said than done!! Yesterday I tried to lay around and succeeded somehow. Steve went to the grocery store for me...thank goodness. He also brought me home some chocolates...and a small box for the baby. Wonder who is going to eat that?? Today I've relaxed as well...but now I have the itch to get up and do some laundry. I'll just take it slow.

Here are some new pictures..Steve took the belly picture of me today. I am certainly getting big! The ultrasound on Thursday said the baby was over 5 pounds!!!! So I'll likely have an 8 pounder!! The ones below are some of our 3D pictures...they may be hard to see, but she is basically looking at the camera and her hands are up around her face. I also posted one of her baby foot! She has Steve's toes :)
We have our next appointment on the 26th and then we'll go every week for a check-up. I can't believe we are getting so close! I'll post next week!

8 months!

I am 32 weeks or 8 months today! Very very exciting :) Just a quick update...I had a doctor's appointment this morning and baby is doing well. Heart rate was very good and the doctor thinks she is head down. YAH! I've been feeling A LOT of pressure so I had a feeling. I went to the gym last night and had a hard time getting around the track. I was waddling for sure and getting funny looks!

Baby is doing well. I'm measuring perfect at a 32...at 32 weeks. That's right on track! And baby likely weighs 4ish pounds. Contractions are picking up, but not so bad. As long as I don't have 6 in an hour I'm good to go.

Steve and I went to our child birth class on Tuesday and got a tour of Labor & Delivery. It's nearly brand new and is awesome. The rooms are huge and the room after the baby is delivered is even bigger! Lots of room for lots of visitors!! I'll have Steve take a bump picture this weekend and I'll post it soon!

Baby's Room

I finally posted some pictures of the baby's room! It's almost done...all we need to do is buy letters for her name, paint them and hang her name up on the wall. The name is TBA...but you'll find out soon enough. I think you'll all approve!

Sidetracked

Hi All! I'm so sorry I haven't blogged in such a long time. I don't know if I've been waiting to get new pictures on here..or I've just been a little sidetracked. Maybe a bit of both! When I was home in Indiana for Christmas I had a wonderful baby shower with friends and family. Here are few pictures from the day! This child is going to be very well dressed...she has almost more clothes than me!
I also had a wonderful baby shower in Sioux Falls yesterday afternoon. All of my friends from work and far away came...I think there were 28 people!! Lots of good food, wine for those not pregnant, and the best part is....my mom, sister and best friend Sara flew in. Here are a few pictures....PLUS the Bump :)

Baby is doing just fine! I am nearly 31 weeks and we are getting REALLY close. I think she's probably 3 pounds or a little over. I'm finally getting over a double ear infection. I was miserable for about a week and a half. But thank goodness fo antibiotics!! The baby is really moving a alot and not so much punching, but rolling. It's unbelievable how active she is.
Steve and I started a child birth class about 2 weeks ago and we are going to our 3rd class on Tuesday. We will have 5 total. We are both surprisingly really enjoying it and learning a lot. Some people recommended it, some didn't...but I'm so happy we signed up. All of my questions are being answered and Steve is truly interested. Last week's class was pretty interested...we had to watch the live birth and our teacher didn't warn us! BUT it wasn't that bad :) haha.
Steve and I are going to organize the baby's room tomorrow night and we'll post some pictures of the baby's room then! Soooo stay tuned!!

Almost 7 months!

Hi Everyone! Hope you all had a great Christmas. Unfortunately Steve and I were snowed in at home in South Dakota. That means we didn't get to spend Christmas in Waseca :( It was a hard decision to not get behind the wheel, but after 19 inches of snow and the horror stories from friends that drove back to Sioux Falls on Sunday, it was definitely the best decision. The good news is, we're not done celebrating the holidays. We will celebrate Christmas in Waseca this coming weekend!

Not much to report with the baby. She's been a bit quiet today. I think it's because I've actually been busy! Steve and I sat around for 4 days and I had plenty of time to sit back and enjoy the somersaults. I'm starting to get nervous about becoming a mom...normal I'm sure. The baby's room is nearly complete...and her closet is filling up quickly!

Here is a picture of me at 26 weeks when I was home in Evansville. I'm now almost 28 weeks - that's 7 months for everyone trying to do the math!

Hope everyone has a great New Year's Eve. I will update later this week after my scheduled doctor's appointment!

Merry (early) Christmas!!

Hi Everyone! Well I made it home to Evansville Thursday and surprisingly we didn't miss any flights (really by the skin of our teeth!). It was quite the traveling day, but we're here and safe. So in case you didn't know, the baby is great and the doc ok'd me to head home. She's measuring perfect, even though I feel like my stomach is getting huge! My small maternity shirts are getting a little snug :) Mom says she's going to take a picture of me later, so I'll try and post that. I love coming home around the holidays. The house looks so beautiful. Mom decorates so well...I don't have that knack! I will try and post a picture of the outside later too. You guys will be amazed! Today we are going to celebrate Christmas and open presents and tomorrow I am having my first baby shower. I can't wait. And I think Steve is excited too. It will make it feel even more real.

Now on to some more baby news. Like I mentioned, baby is growing at a good pace. I would guess she's close to 2 pounds, maybe a little more now. Last time they checked was the day after Thanksgiving and she was almost a pound and a half. She is a mover and a shaker and she is very very low. So low that I think sometimes she is going to fall out!! But I have been reassured that is not going to happen :) I am 6 and a half months (26 weeks) already and don't have much time to go. Steve wants to see her now and I told him we have to wait just a bit longer :) Anyway hope everyone has a great weekend and if you're celebrating the holiday early, have a great time with family and friends! I have to say it's not fun living this far from my family, but over the holidays it means we get and extra long Christmas!

Pains and Gains

Well I'm sitting here battling an upset tummy...just another day in the life! She is growing like a weed and moving around like crazy! I'll be 25 weeks on Thursday, so only 15 more weeks to go. It's insane how this pregnancy is flying by! Next week I get tested for gestational diabetes and get the go-ahead to fly home for Christmas :) I can't wait to see my family and of course my sweet nephew Warren.

Sunday my good friend Jessica came over to take some pictures and document my pregnancy (preview on the left). We also snuck in some Christmas Card pictures. Look for those cards in the next few weeks in your mailbox!

On a baby note...she can definitely here what's going on outside my belly. Today I did a story about a CareFlight pilot at one of our Hospitals here in town and I was standing outside when the blades started whipping around. She started dancing and kicking and flipping! I think it may have been a bit too loud for her. I was even holding my ears! Anyway hope everyone is doing well!
